Exploring Factors Affecting The Mother's Knowledge about Intrauterine Device (IUD) In Bastiong Karance District of Ternate City

The Family Planning Program as one of the government policies in population sector, has high implications for quantitative and qualitative health development. To make family planning program a success, methods used is contraceptive method. method contraception that considered safe effective intrauterine device (IUD), but its use still very low compared to other contraceptives. National coverage active participants 66%, while North Maluku Province only 52.4%, with IUD users 7.4%, far below injectable contraceptives at 63.7%. purpose this study was determine which factors from age, education, occupation parity were more related mother's knowledge about IUD. Using descriptive non-probability sampling technique, taken by accident, month find 67 samples. results showed most respondents aged 20-35 years old, had adequate employed female employees 2-3 children parity.
